Locker room material has never really seemed like it would make much difference, the players are going to play no matter.

But specifically giving the hometown fans a reason to get louder - that's just stupid.

I don't know how a player can really believe it has no effect, false starts and forced timeouts are evident -- and when that happens, it just motivates the crowd more.
