I am not a Nagin supporter but this pic was taken out of context. If you watch the video of the press conference Nagin is turning around and talking to the Chief and someone just used that freeze-frame to start controversy so they could sell a few more newspapers or television commercials.

Just another example of the T-P's irresponsible editing. From the video, it is clear Nagin is swinging the gun around for repositioning. I'm sure they had a dozen other photos that could have been used with the 2 of them holding the guns. It was supposed to show the police dept's force. The T-P does not do as much as the could or should to improve the city's image. With all the folks in town for the NBA All-star game, it will only serve to hurt the image of the city.
