The New Orleans Saints are 3-2 heading into the bye after knocking off the Los Angeles Chargers 30-27, but it was neither easy nor pretty.

Here are some quick thoughts from the Saints’ prime-time, overtime slog.

Emmanuel Sanders is a legit weapon in the passing game. He had his first 100-yard receiving game in a Saints uniform, and was the only Saints player doing much of anything offensively for huge chunks of this game. It has taken a bit of time for Sanders to get acclimated into this offense and to get on the same page as quarterback Drew Brees from a timing perspective, but...
