What will be the biggest x-factor for the Saints offense this season? (1 Viewer)

Cook bc he opens up SP’s playbook.
But depth could be the answer. If an injury hits, then the next man up needs to produce so we don’t skip a beat

I understand the pick of Jared Cook. But without protection, he’ll never get into his route with consistency.

I’m going against conventional wisdom and say: McCoy.

Opposing NT’s will not win the war in the trenches vs. our rookie beast. With that, the O-line will form a cleaner pocket around Drew.

Then, if the opposition brings LB help to manufacture pressure, their secondary will not hold up.

Pick your poison. :ezbill:

:gosaints:

The x-factor on offense is gonna be Taysom catching one deep pass early in season maybe on wheel route or play action like they just missed in the playoffs.

Cause if he does that, it will give the defense another thing to worry about if he can use his speed as a decoy to have safety worry about him, opening up things for Cook in the middle of the field.

A. Drew Brees
B. Alvin Kamara
C. Jared Cook
D. Michael Thomas
E. The Health of the Offensive Line
C. Jared Cook

Up until the Eagles game last season the Saints were smoking pretty much everyone once they hit their stride. After that, opposing defenses started to double cover Thomas and Kamara. If that happens this season, Cook is going to be an All Pro.

Ginn being healthy certainly isn't a bad thing, but history tells us that defenses don't have an answer for Brees when he's given that TE option streaking down the seam...
