Not sure the Saints will have a Legion of Boom level defense this year, capable of letting a rookie QB mostly play with a lead and/or in low scoring games.

Russ didn’t do nearly as much “cooking” his first two years, even though he clearly flashed as an elite QB talent. Plus he only had to outperform Matt Flynn.

Hard to imagine Booker showing enough to win the job, over Winston, who is much better than Flynn ever was (no disrespect) and if he does that probably means the whole team sucks and the Saints are playing for the future not for the playoffs.

I know it's a long shot. But it's what I'm hoping for. It would be in the best interest of the team.

Just wondering what everyone considers success with the start of the next chapter in Saints football.
I picked winning season because I feel that is every team's baseline for a successful season. I think for this team wild card or NFC South Title are both doable. I suspect Tampa will drop off big time and people will be in teeth gnashing mode for them by October.

If we have a lot of injuries I do feel we will struggle to have a winning record.

Winning season. If this team makes the playoffs Sean Peyton deserves to.get coach of the year!

Don't even care about the wins this season. As long as we don't have any 'Miracles' this season that are replayed 24/7 throughout the season I will be happy.
