Late Thursday night, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that the Dolphins granted permission to Fitzpatrick’s agent Joe Segal to seek out a trade partner for the embattled defensive back
Miami’s strategy of tanking their 2019 season in pursuit of a high draft pick next year, combined with playing Fitzpatrick out of position, grated on him in the wake of a humiliating 59-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.
