Personally I would probably use a chuck roast, but there are a lot of options. I braised some short ribs last week that came out amazing, but that could get expensive.

I went with this. Hopefully as good as it looks.

So, my wife made this version of Shepherds pie. Ground turkey, peas, and sweet potatoes. I actually liked it. I'm not a big fan of sweet potatoes, but this was pretty great.

I am a big fan of sweet potatoes, that looks pretty good. Always love the sweet and savory.

She seasoned the meat well too. Turkey can be bland sometimes but this came out nice.

Went with a Bobby Flay recipe (first time trying it) for brunch. Fresh tomatos grated, parsley pesto with pine nuts, and serrano ham on ciabatta toast. Not bad. Experimenting now with cooking the tomato down a bit to thicken and enhance the flavor.
