My wife has been scoring these huge bags of pistachios from Sams. I used to think cashews were my favorite nut, with pistachios being a close second. But cashews can get too oily after a while.

Somebody through work gave me a box of pecans for christmas. Pecans are highly under rated, imo. When they are peeled and you don't have to fear tangling with that middle part that sucks all the moisture out of your mouth, pecans become the bomb.

But they still aren't better than pistachios.

Fried pickles and lemon meringue pie are not better than pistachios. And that's a fact, Jack.

The Pecans from Whole food that are covered with honey(I believe?) are flat out money.

My Wife's pecan pie is awesome as well. And Honey Pecan shrimp from Trey yen? mmmm

However, if nothing is on the Pecan at all how does it match up against Pistachios?

They both kinda blow..most likely giving the slight edge to pistachios with nothing on them.

Tricked out? Pecan..al natural? Pistachio

So I kinda agree, kinda not.

I just got a thing of roasted almonds...Since I don't care for pistachios, I vote for this...

plain(we'll count roasted as pure) and not tricked out with sugar or anything else.

Yeah, almonds pwn pecans and pistachios.

I guess there's no accounting for taste.

Almonds? Pistachios kick almond butt all over the yard.

Yeah these are just roasted and salted...not sugared or wasabi'd or whatever else they do to them...The best I've ever had though were at the SF Giant's ballpark..they have an emerald almond vendor that roasts them there...you can smell them all the way across the park
