What's your oldest piece of SAINTS gear? (1 Viewer)

When I was a little kid my parents too me to this game against the Bills (in Buffalo). I wore a Saints helmet to it. I still have the helmet, though it no longer fits. I'll try to take a picture of it, it's really old and has just the single bar for the facemask, so really it's just special to me. And I guess Antonio Brown.

I have a hat from about 1993 that is so dirty and worn out that it looks like I stole it from a hobo

I used to have a brown paper bag.

I remember Bobby Hebert but I was too young to truly remember him playing here. I remember his seasons with the Falcons more than I remember him as a Saint, honestly.

I do remember Jim Everett and being a big fan of his. To this day I think he's incredibly underrated.

Anyway, for the rest of my childhood as a Saints fan, we had a joke QB after joke QB until finally we acquired Jeff Blake in Free Agency from the Bengals. I was so excited! And man, for the first half of that season, he totally lived up to my high expectations.

All I wanted for Christmas that year was a Jeff Blake jersey. Nothing else. Even after he went down to injury, my mom asked if I was sure that was what I wanted.... I was 100% sure.

And of course, Blake would never play another snap as a Saint again :ROFLMAO: But still... he brought excitement and hope for me as a Saints fan for the first time in my life.

I ended up getting a white Aaron Brooks jersey the next Christmas (a gold Ricky on my birthday before that as well), but for some reason over the years, the black PUMA Jeff Blake jersey has survived the hurricanes and floods over those two and other little Saints stuff I had from when I was a kid/teenager. It just sits in my closet honestly but here's a quick pic.

I have it somewhere around. Only thing my parents could afford to get me and all I wished for for Christmas. 8th grade 1991/1992.

Have ticket stubs from Tulane Stadium days in a box in garage somewhere, along with a few years worth of Gridweek Magazine I subscribed to in the 70s...I swear I'll find them and take pics...it's on my 2DO list...

I have a shirt from Christmas 1987 with Hebert, Morten and Dave Waymer on it. I still have my original cha ching shirt too. My favorite is the 1987 local comic book that chronicled the 1987 season as well. Original Saga of the Saints history book as well.

My heart. Which has been tattered and torn to shreds until the 2009 season whereupon it was repaired. But along with the 2011 playoff game these last two seasons' endings have frayed it considerably again.

An old signed Steve Stonebreaker picture that was handed down from Grandfather-in-law, to Dad, to me.

A program from 1967 is my oldest. Also have a poster from ‘68. Lots more in my shrine.
