The basis of her story is accurate. Westhoff, in his telling, saw Taysom after he showered. He made no mention of naked. In any case, he inquired about who Hill was. At some later point he asked Payton and Taysom if he might like to cover kicks.

The rest is history.

Payton has also told a different version where he approached Westoff with the idea of using Taysom on coverage. Seems they both think his evolution was their idea.

Maybe there is an alternate story. One in which Taysom said "Coach Sir. I'll play any role you ask, punt coverage, returns, water boy .... I just want to play."
