What a great topic! That’s a fantastic song and one of my favorites. Another is their cover of California Sun, oh and What a wonderful World.

Great band. Wish they were still around.

I don't know where to start?

Danny says

The KKK took my baby away

I want to be sedated

Sheena is a punk rocker

Heck we could just go with anything off of the first four albums is ranked higher for me.

Great band!

Damn, I knew I forgot a few others.

My brother and I performed “What a Wonderful World” Ramones style a few months back, and it was great.

I feel blessed to have caught them at Lalapalooza in the 90s. It’s a damn shame every last one of the original band is gone.

I saw them open for Pearl Jam in 1995. That was the best live performance I’ve ever seen. Pearl Jam was a complete bore after following them.

Yeah great band so fun to see play.

Was lucky enough to get to see them four times.

Actually the most fun show I saw them at was with Pearl jam. The crowd really did not get it at the beginning at the end they did.

Oh check out the album acid eaters if you have not it is spectacular. It is an entire album of covers of 60s stuff that influenced them. Just awesome. They cover substitute and Townshend sings backup on it. Great stuff.

Here is a great one from it

Certainly don't hate Pet Sematary, but it's not really up there for me.

Looking past their more iconic songs:

"Bonzo Goes to Bitburg (My Brain is Hangin' Upside Down)" would get my vote.
"The KKK Took My Baby Away" would be a not too distant second.

Honorable mentions to:
"Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue"
"Warthog"
and
"Every Time I Eat Vegetables, It Makes Me Think of You"

My favorite Ramones cover is of Tom waits I don't want to grow up.

Needless to say it sounds like the Ramones and not Tom waits from the 90s

The original

I love both versions and the videos are great.

I’m pretty sure that we can all agree that “Pet Cemetery” is one of the Ramones greatest songs, but does it best out “Blitzkrieg Bop”, “My Head is Hanging Upside Down”, and “Beat on the Best”?
Um, I don't agree that Pet Cemetery is on the the Ramones greatest songs. Especially since they basically just re-wrote I Wanna Live in order to make that song. It's their version of Candle In The Wind. It fits any occasion.

Beyond that, it was a song written as a movie theme song. How could it possibly have as much meaning as any of their other songs?
