Where is Cooks? (1 Viewer)

So you trade up to draft a wr rd1p20 to be a role player wr? Now I'll let you edit your post to seem like you know what you're talking about.

No, you trade up for a guy who demands double teams every game and who is on pace for 75 catches, 1100 yards, and 9 TDs.

SP is a disciple of Air Coryell which gets clumped with a west coast offense but it's not.

In short a WCO is/was built to be competitive with lesser talent on offense. Is more horizontal/paper cuts

Air Coryell requires Better talent and is more vertical.

Cooks-1st
Thomas-2nd
Fleener-FA/2nd rounder
Ingram-1st
Snead(udfa) 3rd Receiver
Spiller-FA/1st
Peat(1st)
Unger(2nd/trade)
Armstead(3rd)
Drew Brees(2nd) Hall of Fame QB

SP was attempting to retool/rebuild an aging offense and he technically did. That's why you trade up for Cooks..the offense requires talent

You get a Joker RB in there and it's right back to 2011

Regardless if he's a 1 receiver or not, Cooks is definitely our most dangerous player on offense not named Drew. I get why the Rams eliminated him. They made the mistake of thinking they were good enough to compensate.

GW's defensive gameplan was not letting Cooks beat him.

So Payton and Brees said "LOL K" as Thomas, Snead, Fleener, and Hill smashed through the Rams secondary. GW refused to adjust to stop the other players, so Cooks was silent because why force a throw when everyone else is wide open?

Cooks made no impact on the stat sheet, but he made a huge impact on the field.
