I'm coming back to NO in a couple of months and I want to eat boiled seafood like the old days. My favorite place - Sid-Mar's in Bucktown -- was destroyed by Katrina.

Can anyone recommend a good place that still serves boiled crabs, crawfish, etc.?

Tonight I ate about fitty shrimp from the chinese boofay in Searcy, AR. Boiled, Fried, some other kinda chinese fried way and buttered all for 8.79 or so. What a steal.

Big Al's (of Houma) opened up a restaurant in or near the Warehouse District. Brennan is a big fan of theirs from his Terrebonne days.

When it comes to boiled seafood the DIY approach has always been the best for me. You know how you like it seasoned and you absolutely have to drink a few while boiling.
