This is pure speculation but I think it is not a reach to think that Coughlin and Belichick could retire in the next couple weeks and that Shockey is officially on the trade block.
Coughlin has gone through hell in NY and this SB win gives him a way to leave a winner and with a winning reputation in NY. He doesn;t need to go through all that beating anymore.
Belichik also could be facing some burnout with off the field issues. His reputation is taking a huge hit and he may be ready to disappear for a year or two.
Shockey is now the problem child of the giants. I think he is a goner if a team makes a decent offer. The team and Eli improved dramatically once he was gone from the team and his act of not being a part of the team will only add fuel to his dislike on the team and in the NY media. He can't expect to walk back into that lockeroom next year and act like a leader.
