Dunn needs 61 yards to become the all-time leading rusher against the Saints. In 12 career games against New Orleans, Dunn has rushed for 924 yards, ranking him behind Eric Dickerson (984 yards in 10 games) and Lawrence McCutcheon (966 yards in 12 games). . . . Falcons kicker Morten Andersen has made 534 career field goals and scored 2,415 career points. He needs five more field goals and 20 more points to pass Gary Andersen for first place in NFL history in both categories. . . . Saints kicker John Carney has 1,707 career points and needs five more to move past Nick Lowery for fourth place all-time. . . . Saints receiver Joe Horn is expected to start his 100th game as a Saint today. He has scored 50 touchdowns as a Saint, ranking him three behind Dalton Hillard for the team record. . . . New Orleans and Atlanta will meet for the 75th time in the regular season, the longest-standing rivalry for both teams. The Falcons have a 43-31 edge in the regular season, and a 1-0 advantage in the playoffs.
I hope their 43-30 edge they had to start the season ends up 43-32 after today.
I suspect Dunn will get his 61 yrds today, and maybe we'll hold Atl to field goals instead of TDs, helping Morten. How great would it be for Joe to have a 3 TD performance? Who Dat.
