Since Grayson has been cut and moved to the practice squad, I doubt that the Saints are giving him seriously considering him to be the heir to Brees.

I believe because of his familiarity with the system (Payton will stick with familiarity all day long), he'll remain on the team.

With that being said, if you had to trade for an up and coming QB (instead of drafting one) how would you feel about trading for Jacoby Brissett or Brett Hundley?

I suspect we will draft our next QB but it could also be a free agent signing. I don't see us trading for a developmental.

Maybe Garrapolo since Belechick already drafted their heir.

Either way I can't imagine the pats keeping both Polo and Brissett

+1 vote for Hundley here. That said I doubt they will let him walk away without a fight.

If we want to do just like we did with Brees, find a team that has their QB already, but also has a suitable backup who could be the guy.

Get him somehow.

Paxton Lynch? I don't know. Is Siemian really going to work out? They might be waiting to see.

To an extent it reminds me of the situation Aaron Brooks was in before he was traded. I don't know if the Packers have a solid QB behind Rodgers that would make Hundley expandable.

Siemian plays butter smooth. I'm pretty certain he will work out.

Taylor Heinicke from Minnesota. Under the radar and not well known, but I'm of the opinion that he would excel in Payton's system.

Garrapolo got the nod over Brissett. If Brissett does a real good job, that might make Garrapolo expendable.

That's what I'm thinking. QBs always do well in that system though so it may be misrepresentative of Garrapolo's actual skills as a passer. He seems great on short passes.

True. I remember Matt Cassel was a big name, but after he was traded, he was never heard from again.

I'm not convinced Grayson us our next QB, either. But, i believe SP still believes he's a value option. If not, there's no reason to bring him back on practice squad. I do think we'll continue looking at other options, though.

He has interesting numbers in college. I guess he'll get the nod if something happens to Bradford. If not, then the Vikings might let him go pretty cheap.
