I'm not necessarily on the trade Kamara bandwagon but I keep seeing these stories and rumors suggesting it could happen. If it does then obviously Running back becomes a position of need so who would be the best available either in the Draft or Free agency to step into Kamara's role?

I dont think any RB could/would make AK expendable, but I'll play along and say D'Andre Swift. His skill set is perfect for our O. In my opinion, if he's there at 24, he'd 100% be one of top 3, if not the true BPA on deck. AK being a deadly run/pass threat is a lot to scheme for on D, and even w/all that attention he still makes the plays. Now imagine two of those types on O. AK and Swift would be an absolutely dynamic tandem under Sean Payton. We'd have a pair of elite RBs w/fresh legs tagging in and out of the game throughout. Drew would butcher D's w/AK and Swift running routes in that short/intermediate area of the field. Again, if we're honestly talking about and going BPA, I think D'Andre Swift is a legit possibility, and a darkhorse at 24.

If you want to change how the offense works then trade Kamara, but he will get better and is worth keeping. Are we at our best when Kamara is getting 10 targets a game?
Two years ago, yes. But last season shows his route tree is limited as a running back. Defenses started keying in on his option route by forcing him one way and then defending that way.
He’s a real pro who puts in the work to train hard. He’s not easily replaceable. And I think he can adjust and elevate his game. So can Sean Payton.
Plus the addition of Emmanuel Sanders means the top two CBs will be assigned to two receivers. If MT or ES are in the slot and the other on the wing who is going to guard Kamara?
Probably a linebacker. And that opens up a lots of ways to get him the ball in open space.

To lose Mark Ingram one season and Kamara the next is not lost on players. We already lost Von Bell.

Even if we can’t sign Kamara to a second contract, which I’m okay with if we keep Lattimore, it’s worth it to keep him until he finishes his rookie deal to help us win now and for team continuity.

What stories and rumours, exactly? There's a small number of uncorroborated items with nil credibility, dealing in pure speculation that do no more than try to connect unconnected dots.

They could say the same thing about any player on any team approaching a contract year.

Hey! I'm just a little more curious on why/where did all of these Kamara-trade related articles/topic come about? I haven't heard one reliable source (not speculation) that he was going to hold out/want to get traded?
Clickbait champions who want hits to their page.

Seriously, I see the headlines everyday too on FB, by the time the drafts get here there will a trade headline for AK to every team in the league.

It is sooo stupid and I just don't even pay attention to it.

I think it's 3 things:
1) Lack of other sports/distractions to talk about.
2) Either trolls or fans of other teams wanting him
3) Mock drafters wanting more picks and to "save" cap space for someone else. By saying he will hold out adds drama and makes the time pass quicker.

That being said, I would rather keep him and have him around to make a QB transition easier.

Most new offensive players that start off in the NFL with a bang, are eventually figured out by defenses, particularly running backs. Very few maintain their initial level of play. The ones that maintain their level of initial high level play, become great players. 2-3 years of initial high level play, does not equate to greatness. That said, a trade of Kamara would be a bit dissapointing to me, but at the same time, I can understand the move.

Two RB’s come to mind, as far as who could be Kamara’s replacement from the draft. Swift and Hellaire.

Those stories are false. They are not trading him short of someone offering a Herschel Walker deal. But presently, they have no plans whatsoever to move him.

I think Kamara is tapering off, and will be victimized by the money monster.

I know Payton is drooling over CEH because of his skill set, and has been known to go after big-time RB prospects. But, he probably also has 2-3 other players rated just as high in the 24 slot, so who knows?

I'm pretty much against drafting a RB early, because Payton has a good one last year in Murray that he kept in the holster. A top RB would be a waste, so I hope he goes OL or DB.

Who says we can't keep Kamara and draft a Running Back. We've done that before.
