1. Starts with the Oline its trash. Even if it improves it will still be one of the worst Oline's in the league.
2. PC is the worst play caller in the league. Once we fire him his only real landing spot will be with SP in Denver.
3. People will hate this but Carr is just not the future for this team. He holds on to the ball to long. Is flat footed. He is an upgrade over WInston/Dalton, but is an average QB at best.
4. The defense is great but still struggles to get pressure. Love had all the time he wanted to throw the ball.
5. DA is a great defensive coordinator but just not HC material.

I wanted to believe other wise but the ceiling for this team was 10-12 wins, division champs and booted early in the playoffs. We never stacked up talent wise with the elite teams.

Depending on how much time Carr misses its another 7-9 wins season.

Carmichael which is Allen's fault, so Allen. I think you have to blame Loomis as well for hiring Allen and trying to continue with Sean Payton's guys without Sean. Like the snake trying to carry on with no head after being beheaded.

Even here, even from some of the folks here, I’d be shocked if any of them blame the defense. And I’ve seen it all thru the years…lol

I couldn't love this defense more. Derek went down and the offense blew apart and no one who gets paid to keep that from happening (anyone with "coach" after their name) had any idea what to do except put it all on the defense to bail them out and the defense just can't be on the field for an entire quarter with no rest.

I dunno when I stopped hating Dennis Allen but it came back quickly.

And to think Carmichael was going to retire but Allen persuaded him to take the job.

Whoever made the decision to not shore up the Oline in the off-season is to blame.

3 games into the season I am still not sold on Dennis Allen as head coach or Pete Carmichael as play caller. The offense is just so frickin conservative. With our putrid O line I don't see any creativity or anything else designed to help. Can't run the ball for crap.

However, Defense also crapped the bed. I know they were tired by the end but they started crumbling before that.

And then grupe missed. So really it's a total team loss.

Yes, Jameis first few drives Pete got way to conservative. All blame is DA Jameis been in the system to long to be conservative.

We win if Carr doesn’t get hurt. It’s that simple.

Just don’t understand that he has to hold on to the ball like that. Yes the O-line is not great, but it is ok to throw the ball away! And this might be the reason the season is over!

This loss is squarely on coaching. It starts at the top. DA is terrible, and his strategy of grinding out games 17-10 is a terrible idea in today’s NFL. Oh, look, our streak of holding teams under 20 points keeps going, yay!

… which leads us to Pete Carmichael. I’m sure he’s a nice guy, a good, maybe even great offensive consultant. Can we get an Offensive Coordinator now? ‘Cause the team is missing one. Of course, our coach won’t be able to hire a decent one because he only knows retreads from his days failing with the Raiders.


All in all, this loss is really depressing. We’re just 2-1, but a long-term Carr injury all but guarantees us two more years of THIS. DA’s defenses are very good, then about 50-50 when it counts. What’s the point? Same old Saints…

In FG range and you kill the clock passing when a kick gets you the lead. Terrible game mgmt.

Should have never came down to kicking a FG and why would you put a rookie kicker in that position ? I knew he was going to miss it and he did . I knew we would lose the game because ever since I was a kid, whenever LSU N TULANE WINS THE SAINTS WILL LOSE AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK.

Winston is pretty bad, but is a back up. Looks like we just laid an egg and believed all the hype. I don't have a lot of hope this year, but win 8 games and we likely make the playoffs.
