These are from the Falcons fans:

bossFALCON: our schedule has been tougher than the bucs and the saints so far. we've played two division winners from a year ago and won by 8 pts or more. i'm also pretty sure we are in 1st place in the division because we have a division win and the saints don't. not 100% on that though.

Ghoticov: Uh, the Falcons just beat two teams (and handily, I might add) that won their division last year. Neither Miami nor Carolina are slouches and you will see soon enough. The Saints, on the other hand, just beat a Lions team that still can't win and the Eagles with Kolb as their starter. I will give them at least a little credit for hanging 40+ on the Eagles D though...

...Actually, the Saints stomped an Eagles team that had KOLB as their QB. Yes, the Saints had a great day offensively (as most figured they would) but to say they beat the Eagles and in the same sentence say they went to the NFC Conf Champ last year is a bit misleading. Yes, they did but they had McNabb and Johnson as their DC last year... no where NEAR the same team.

The Falcons just beat two teams that have ALL their starters (and Miami now has Jason Taylor) and both teams won their divisions last year. I'm no homer but I am much more impressed with the Falcons victory's than the Saints beating the lowly Lions and the McNabbless Eagles.

The Eagles D cannot be called vaulted at this time. Sorry but loosing their DC is going to hurt them and it showed against a solid offense like the Saints. They will get better as the year progresses but right now, the Eagles D is a shell of what it used to be.

bossFALCON: and we've beaten two teams they had a combined w-l of 23-9 last year. are you going off what the teams did last year or this year Q, because first you bring up the fact that the teams we've beaten haven't won a game THIS year and then you went back and brought up what the eagles did LAST year. either way the saints have played teams with a combined w-l of 1-3 and we've played teams with a combined w-l of 0-3, with tonight's game pending, so there's not a huge difference.

technically the falcons are in first place in the division and the saints are in second.

Ghoticov: These poster seems to forget that part of the reason the Panthers and Fins are 0-2 is because they both lost to the Falcons. LOL

It is really hard to take the year before and then forsee what will happen this year based on last year but right now, that is all we have to go on. And the Fins and Panthers both win their divisions are were SOLID teams last year... they haven't lost enough to make them any different this year.

The Eagles didn't have McNabb, lost their DC and the Lions still can't win a game and starting a rookie QB.

If people can't see the difference between the Falcons wins and the Saints wins, I don't know how much more clear it can be if you aren't wearing homer vision. Both are solid teams but the Falcons have played the better opponents, period... AND handled them nicely.

I saw a backup QB (Kolb) throw for a ton of yards. Yes, I'm sure part of it was because they were playing catch up but don't you think the Saints D knew they were going to throw it and STILL couldn't stop it?

If Kolb throws for 400, I can only imagine what the Falcons O is going to do to that Saints D. The Falcons certainly have their flaws but the O isn't one of them.

Okay, it is kinda long. So you can read the rest here.

And yet the Carolina team that they are bragging about beating was just stomped by the Eagles by 4 touchdowns. The same Eagles team that the Saints just destroyed. Typical Falcon fan logic. It's ok, the beatdown of the Falcons is coming soon enough.

Why read? They are posting the same things we are posting. Until we play them, I don't see the point of arguing who is first in the division after the second game.

This is the first comment with regard to who's number one in the NFC South that really makes any sense at all! We all will just have to wait and see who shows up for both games between the Saints and Falcons.

Till then, chil-lax!

don't we get to play them twice a year to settle who will be first??? why would you care until then. personally i would like atlanta think they are better because it makes it that much sweeter a victory listening to their excuses of why they lost.

The Dolphins are 0-2? That timezone thing can be confusing.

This reminds me of when the Saints played the Falcons in the first game back in the Dome in 2006. Both teams were 2-0 but Atlanta claimed they were a much better team because they led the league in rushing and New Orleans' opponents were not nearly as good as the ones they had defeated. If memory serves me correctly, the Saints had defeated the Cleveland Browns and the Green Bay Packers.

In order for the Falcons to get to 2-0, they had defeated the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They claimed those were tough division rivals.

We all saw how that played out. New Orleans won 23-3 and followed that victory up with a later victory in the Georgia Dome by a score of 31-13. My point is just let it play itself out. I think we all know how this will end this year.

when did they start handing out divisional champion trophies after week 2??

Only game we need to worry about is the Bills . We can talk smack about the Falcons (eww my fingers even feel dirty typing that name out) when that week arrives!

Forget their biast as well as our biast point of views..... Below is the up to date Sagarin Ratings... IT CLEARLY shows that we thus far have played the tougher schedule between the two. Those fans are idiots.

who cares about the Falcons fans thinking they're better after week two?
I think they will have their proof when we win the division in week 12.

Carolina sure doesn't look the division winner from last year,do they? Jake played a little better but their D looked anemic.

I do have to give Matty Ice props, he doesn't seem headed for a sophomore slump. The games with Saints and the NFC South division leader (sorry, couldn't type the name) down in Georgia should be good. I'm glad our D has a few more games under GW before we take on Turner and White.

Although we have a few good match-ups before that happens to keep us entertained.

They keep going back to LAST YEAR, and what Miama and Carolina did LAST YEAR.

After tonight their combined oponents records will be 0-4. Sure 1-3 isn't much better, but 0-4 looks ALOT worse.
