My best guess (and it is only that, not stating opinion as fact as so many seem to be doing) is that they were only going to be trading up only for a QB. Why would they trade multiple 1st round picks for another position? It would have hamstrung their ability to acquire the QB of the future for the next few years....

Nobody said they were going to trade multiple first round picks. The fact is, they didn't trade anything. That doesn't mean they weren't looking to trade up to get a WR or a CB or a QB. They just didn't get the right price.
