Reuben Foster - LB
Derek Barnett - DE
Solomon Thomas - DE

Of these three choices, I went with Barnett because he's the best pass rusher of the three. S. Thomas is basically Cam Jordan, he's really good, but we already have that type of guy on the team. But all that being said, Reuben Foster is the best football player of the three, by far.

But there's no way Reuben Foster passes Cincy at #9. We have to be realistic about this stuff.

I know most of you won't agree - but my plan was trade down in the 1st round (since Reuben is gone). Trade down to approx #20 - grab addl 1st, 3rd, and 5th round picks.

FIRST - Reuben Foster (gone)/Zach Cunningham/Ryan Ramcyzk/Garrett Bolles/Quincy Wison/Teez Tabor/Marshon Lattimore/Sidney Jones
SECOND - Jarrad Davis/Dan Feeney/Adoree Jackson/Rasul Douglas
THIRD - Forrest Lamp/Kevin King/Chidobe Awuzie/Dion Dawkins/Dorian Johnson
FOURTH - Antonio Garcia/Jerome Lorenzo/Anthony Walker/Nico Siragusa/Avery Gennesy/Kendell Beckwit
FIFTH - Elijah McGuire/Donnell Pumphrey/Taylor Moton/Duke Riley/Hardy Nickerson
SIXTH - Ejuan Price/Trey Hendrickson
SEVENTH - Tanzel Smart/D.J. Jones/Josh Tupou

FAVORITE VALUE PICKS (by round)

1st - LB - Zach Cunningham
1st - RT - Ryan Ramczyk
2nd - RG - Dan Feeney
3rd - CB - Rasul Douglas
4th - FS - Jerome Lorenzo
5th - RB - Elijah McGuire
6th - DE - Trey Hendrickson
7th - NT - Tanzel Smart

The problem is others are finding out about my hidden gems like Trey Hendrickson, Rasul Douglas, Elijah McGuire, and Tanzel Smart. Hendrickson used to be UDFA - but now he'll go round #2.

So all my carefully laid plans are shot to crap.

Red thumbed me? At least I got the Hendrickson and Ramczyk picks. This was way back when, January?

Sure I got the wrong round for Hendrickson - but back then he was supposed to be a 6th, 7th, or UDFA. I picked him when most thought he was worthless.

Then there was this:

In terms of the most pressing needs to make a super bowl run, I see them as

3.) "Difference-maker" on Offense whether it be star RB, WR, or TE. I feel like one more piece to blow close games open is missing.

I think that person might be RB Alvin Kamara.

And others to consider, some in later rounds.

WR Cooper Kupp
RB Donnell Pumphrey
RB Elijah McGuire
TE Cole Hikutini
TE Gerald Everett
