Because it's legal. It's only breaking the rules if you use video to do it.

It's not illegal. Sounds like everyone else needs to do a better job in disguising their signals.

This. If a team can figure out what your sideline signals are, it would be rediculous for them not to use that info. I certainly hope we have several folks focused on just that. If not; we are behind the curve.
