For me, I attribute that to 3 things.

1. I'm not trying to figure out who should be fired first
2. I tend to not finish the entire bottle of Crown Royal
3. The world is just a better place

I maybe biased as far as generations is concern but none of these tv announcers are worth anything these days. In my 40s and watched football since the 80s. Some of the most legendary announcer had come from that era. Pat and John, The big 3 from abc, Dan Fouts, Dick Stockton, to name a few. Now it is so hard for me to pick anyone I enjoy listening to.
