With New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on the injured reserve for at least two more games, the Saints signed backup quarterback Trevor Siemian to the active roster — a roster move made official Tuesday.

Why?

There's an added premium placed on healthy players because of the coronavirus pandemic and in case of other emergency, coach Sean Payton said.
