Because free agency starts on 3/18/2020 at 4pm eastern. That is in the future. no one is allowed to sign anyone for another 4 hours.

Every year people forget that the legal tampering period is just that and not actual free agency.

Frankly, after snagging Drew Brees in Free Agency this front office could sign another 8 Browners and 12 Byrds and we still couldn't criticize them.
