Only Chinese restaurants I trust in the area are 5 Happiness ( though my last visit there was more like 2.5 happiness

When I'm in Nola we usually have a 5 hap night. The last time was a few years ago, it was exactly as I remember......their mandarin chicken is top notch, also you can't find mandarin chicken (the one with the tan/brown gravy) anywhere in the DC area, they just don't have it....strange, maybe centric to a region in China that immigrated more to the south?

I grew up in Metairie went to Lakeside all the time but, for some reason, never ate at the Egg Roll house....

It makes me sad thinking about all the roaches that are now homeless and unable to snack on (and sometimes commit suicide in) the duck sauce jars on the tables.

They used to have a sushi counter … I think around 1999-2000 or so. At the time, the inside was reasonably tidy.
