Why Mac Jones is a good fit for the New Orleans Saints (1 Viewer)

During the 2020 college football season, Alabama quarterback Mac Jones played his way into a likely first round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft this April. Jones finished the year having completed 77.4% of his passes for 4,500 yards with 41 touchdowns and four interceptions.

In a recent episode of NFL Network’s Move the Sticks podcast, draft experts Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks broke down their most recent mock drafts. Jeremiah has Jones going No. 28 overall to the New Orleans Saints and explained why he likes the fit for the 2020 Davey O’Brien Award winner.

"Look, we'll see if they end up bringing back Jameis Winston,” Jeremiah said. “I think the Saints could do that and still bring in a Mac Jones. I don't think Mac Jones is a fit for everybody, but he's definitely a fit for how the Saints play.
