I mean, if you can draw a penalty from interference by the defense, why not a replay of the down when an idiot referee get's in the way? That was a big moment in the game.

I'm surprised that the officials, especially the umpire, don't get in the way more often. It's amazing these older guys who are NFL officials are as nimble as they are. It is true that they have to be aware of you, but you also have to be aware of them.

In Madden I've gained may a yard by running crossing routes in the vicinity of the umpire using him to pick off the defender. I've also been screwed by "defending officials". It's part of football.

When I saw that play happen I thought about when the same thing happened to Horn in a game against Carolina a few seasons ago except that one would have been a definite TD.
