Why the first 60 yard field goal? (1 Viewer)

I know it was 4th and nine, with just under 2 minutes to go. But I also know the Vikings scored points on 4 of their last 5 possessions (even with refs help). I would have preferred to go for it and if you get it you can run the clock down and not give the vikings anytime after a score. If you don't make it, your still have to hold them and get the ball back.

Not sure why they called a long pass to Olave late in the game when your moving down field on medium throws and runs to get into a closer field goal range or maybe even a TD likely less than a minute to go in the game. If you connect and Olave catches it and scores you give the Vikings 1:40 to go down and score. The saints ended up with the 60 yard FG.

Because we didn’t have time on the clock if we didn’t get the 4th and 9. It was the right call
