The higher (inferior) seed in these playoffs actually has a winning record against the lower seeded teams in head to head matchups- 6-5. Looking beyond just that exotic stat you have-

A 6 seed who has beaten both the 2 and the 3 already this year, the former in the past week. Also statistically dominated the 1 in a road game.
A 5 seed who is the defending SB champ and who has beaten the 4 and the 1, the latter recently on their home field.
A 4 seed who went into the 2 seed's house and won..
A 3 seed who destroyed the 1 seed despite not having their best player and MVP candidate.

The numbers demonstrate a very close playoff field...
 
damn...if we had a running back...it would really be there for the taking...Brees is ganna have to take 100+throws for us to get back to the big game.
