Why was it Loomis announcing that Carr would be QB1 for 2025???

That should be the Coach Moore’s announcement. Loomis is looking like Jerry Jones with his arrogance and control. Loomis was a basketball point guard who never played football. DUDE GET OUT THE WAY AND LET OUR NEW COACH DIRECT HIS OWN TEAM! YOU ARE THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WE HAVE!

It’s because Loomis wanted Carr to stay all along and probably hung out with Coach Moore constantly to push that on him, because Moore was likely on the fence and wanted options. Now they are going to restructure Carr and get stuck with him another 2-3 years. Loomis is a LOOSER! Sean Payton made you look good because he ran the show, period!

If I may give another perspective. Guys it is Feb 26. WHY in the hell would ANY COACH, or GM come out and say ehh, we are gonna move on from CARR? #1. hope to restructure his contract, with him thinking he's in play. #2. [Remember Jun 1st- Deadline]. keep on the low strictly for negotiating purposes. Talk of wanting to cut him, and rebuild in PUBLIC? That is NOT how its done. #3. April Draft in the mix as well, along with trying to get under the cap? #4. Too many moving pieces and IT IS A BIT EARLY TO SHOW YOUR CARDS. Relax people. If Carr doesn't restructure, maybe then they simply cut the fat and say, hey we tried, and you refused to be a team playe. Cya. We are in rebuilding mode. We don't know how this plays out privately, but how it appears in public, usually smoke screen.

He is the general manager, why would he not make the announcement.
Because it’s the coaches decision who will be QB. I promise you that Payton ALWAYS decided who was going to be his QB after Drew retired. No the freaking GM. GMs do not make QB announcements.

I'm just throwing this out there. May have validity, maybe not. If you were in the market for a QB of the future, and you didn't want everyone to know you were in the market; if you were hoping a QB might fall to you in the draft or even that you might trade up for one; you might want everyone else to think/know that you are settled on your QB situation.

As I said in the other thread, this will be looked back on as a major historical mistake and I hope the post gets marked.

Keeping Carr is loser sheet. In every sense of the word. As Elvis pointed out, Carrs career record against winning teams in at about .25 which is SAD. I may be wrong and tomorrow may correct myself, but as a football guy I know what I see and I know a team, and winning teams don’t have mediocre at best QBs with holier than thou attitudes.

Actually makes me sick to my stomach we gotta ride with this butt crevasse for another year. And if you want to clown or call me out, you can, but Carr is an unequivocal butt crevasse, poor leader and me first guy who costs millions to produce a maybe .500 record.

Loomis this is the hill he should die on

How did he do with that. Does the coach make the QB, or does the QB make the coach?

Ah yes, a fresh new made up out of thin air fan theory for everyone to throw stones at their evil mascot for all the Saints woes. SMH.
