To answer your question if you did not watch it actually happen. He turned it back around. It was an accident. He had it like that for about half a second.

That half a second looks alot longer in slow motion, and for the hundreds of times we will have to see it.

The still photo would actually have made more sense. Could have tried to explain it away.

Another thing, notice how he has his left hand busy...he wants to focus and does this backwards with the pinky so when he turns them around, theyre all set. I say it was by design.
