We won't get rid of Smith. We made a mistake giving Grant such a big deal, but why would we create another hole on our team when we have so many already on defense?

Smith was drafted because he was supposed to be an elite pass-rusher. I haven't seen it. He's in the last year of his contract and may want top five DE money. I don't see him being traded, but it wouldn't break my heart if he was especially if someone like Gholston falls to us. I do think the team would like to keep him this year so they can get a good rush with Grant, McCray, Young and Smith all on the same line. At the same time, they would likely entertain offers.

Also, I don't have a problem with the team paying Grant because he was stellar against the run last year.
