The wide receiver position continues to be under some scrutiny in New Orleans this year.
Over the course of last season, the Saints receiving corps was responsible for 2,521 yards in total, a slight decrease from the 2,604 they accounted for the year prior.
That was despite having seven players on the roster compared to five in 2017.
But the position has been trending downward somewhat, after the Saints wide receivers had 3,562 yards in the 2016 season and 3,114 in 2015, both seasons with five receivers.
Still, the team has also been getting good production catching the ball from players at other positions, namely Alvin Kamara, and they are expected to get more from Jared Cook, who they signed this year.
