will 2013 be the year that we do away with the song halftime? (2 Viewers)

It certainly gets fans out of the seats after a TD.

As far as suggestions, what ever song portrays we're out for blood, vengeance, hellfire and brimstone. Wrath of Sean!

I think Halftime needs to be played about once a game. Don't remove it entirely, but stop playing it 5 times a game.

It was a very cool anthem in 2009, but it is getting old, and now every team is playing it.

What to replace it with? How about "More Human than Human" by White Zombie? I think "Let the Bodies hit the Floor" would probably be a little to violent for the stadium and NFL officials.

Another idea is to let the team select a motivational song before each game.

Definitely not Gangam. That would be the fastest way to clear the season ticket waiting list.

I've said it before, but "Get it Ready, Ready" by DJ Jubilee would be a great addition to the playlist. It's a NOLA bounce classic, and they've played it at Hornets games to great effect. Some people who grew up with it even know all the dances that are called out. Great opportunities for crowd participation. And DJ Jubilee was a New Orleans area high school asst. football coach. Too perfect, IMO.

Nazareth: "Expect No Mercy" would fit that bill.

Sure it's an old song, but it's certainly not been overused...

I couldn't get enough of that song in 09. I'd even get pumped when I'd hear it playing in passing cars. By the 2010 season it was getting kinda old. Now it's to the point of annoying. Please, please, please play a different song this year.

Imagine not playing it all year and then the crowd's reaction if they started playing it again during the playoffs. That would be the only situation in which I'd care to hear it again.

We've got our constant and eternal Who Dat chant. Any other music/stuff should change with the times and teams. In a few years we can look back at the halftime era, like we can look back at these two from the Mora era. Time for something new; I have no clue what, but something.

I'll look back on it fondly, but it's time to look back on it.
