Will Taysom Hill play vs Chiefs on MNF? [Edit: Taysom Hill has fractured ribs] (1 Viewer)

This thread should get a lot of action after the 1st injury report is released tomorrow afternoon.

It might not be the tell all but it will give a starting point for further discussion.

2nd report Friday afternoon.

Final report Saturday afternoon.

I was at the game last Sunday and I didn’t even realize Taysom left the game. What’s the chance he plays on Monday night ?
His absence in the second half was basically the end of our offense productivity. He missed the Philly game with a chest injury and then the second half of Falcons with “abdomen” - I got to think he’s out and maybe out for more than the Chiefs game.

I hope I’m wrong.

Today the Saints released their 1st injury report for the week. Taysom did not practice today. D.A. said Hill has fractured ribs that happened in the ATL game and are not related to the chest injury he suffered against the Cowgirls.

Excerpts from a 10/03/24 article by Kyle T. Mosley of Saints News Network On SI as viewed at www.si.com

New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen confirmed during Thursday's media availability that all-purpose star player Taysom Hill has fractured ribs.

His future playing status has yet to be determined.

It might be worth keeping him active for the game and using him as a decoy for some key plays. This guy changes the defensive formations. If we could actually run him for 1 or 2 plays in the 4th quarter after 3 quarters of using him as a decoy, that would be brilliant. Just when the defense thinks he is too hurt and just being used as a decoy, POW, right between the eyes.

CSP would think of this. DA, not so much. It is the small things that win games.

I think we are seeing the beginning of the end for Taysom. At his age injuries are just going to keep piling on.

So in coach speak, he has a rib. Should we go plural since it's ribs? He has a ribs doens't quite work, but what coach speak makes sense?
