THIBODAUX -- Willie Snead would like to have stayed with the New Orleans Saints, but once the Baltimore Ravens made a contract offer, he was ready leave.

"I think it worked out for the best," Snead said Friday (June 22) while back in Louisiana for the Manning Passing Academy, where he is working as a counselor for the fourth time in five years.

Snead played three seasons in New Orleans, and the Saints could have kept him for longer had they matched Ravens with a reported two-year contract worth up to $10.4 million.
