Allen is inheriting a playoff caliber team and not a team where the coach was fired for losing. This team has great talent and are relatively deep in most positions. The one main concern I have is possibly losing Kamara for an extended time as we really are thin in backups at RB!I think Jameis is key but really a huge key is Dennis Allen. I see sportsbooks at 7.5 or 8 wins. With the talent on this team, some are scratching their head (including me). The biggest insight I found was this article:

TLDR: It's rare for a HC in the first year of his second stint to have success
I think this situation is unique though (so much carryover) and gives Allen a better chance to succeed than normal. Of course, Jameis is a huge part of that but Allen also has to beat the odds and earn back those 2 wins bookmakers are probably taking away from the team.
Allen still has to coach and motivate the team, but he is known by the team snd clearly a great defensive coach so I am confident he will be able to replace coach Payton effectively- he certainly had the tools.
