The defense just needs to get hyper-aggressive and blitz 75-85% of the time. We have no choice. At least that might help on occasion. It's all on the offense now.

Which means we go 8-8ish.

Its amazing isn't it? On the game day board, and im sure in your homes, or in the Dome, we were all praising the coaches for making the defense look amazing for 3 qtrs of the game (and make no mistake, it was amazing how they played in comparison to last year). Then, an injury, a wild 75 yard td run later, and a bogus PI, and suddenly this defense is horrible.

This defense is just as good as we were for those first few qtrs., things just happened in the final qtr. The defense from earlier today will be back after the coaches can adjust and gameplan, and within a few weeks people will be singing a different tune. Once Rankins and Breaux get back this idea of having a bad defense will be a thing of the past.

Problem with this is your defense actually has to get off the field for the offense to take over.

500 yards given up is a lot more than a 75 yard run and a missed ref call.

Up untill that injury...

They only 150+ yards and was going on their 5th consecutive drive with no points. When Breaux got injured. It knocked the wind out of defense and the scheme fell apart.

The defense is going to suck. And it's going to suck badly. So, I'm not going to go blue in the face complaining about the defense. It is what it is. Let's break some records and get Drew's yards record back this year.
