I disagree if you think he is the real deal take him. Carr is still likely to be here for another year and maybe even two. Let your rookie sit behind him for a couple of year while you get under the cap and work on the oline.

I mean if you think Cam Ward is THE guy and you take him because you think he’s the next Stroud then go for it but for me it’s either Hunter or Mason Graham. You can’t take a guard in the top 3, Fuaga is a beast, and actually Penning has been pretty surprisingly decent, he isn’t the reason we are losing at all. If Penning was hot trash I’d say Campbell but at this point, we need OG, DT, WR, DE. So I gotta say it’s between Hunter, Graham, and Pearce for me.

Unless you plan to play Campbell at LG for a year or 2 then when penning is gone move him to tackle and bring in a new LG.

If you think he's a franchise QB you have to draft him. You don't have to start him right away. Let Carr start for another year if you can't improve the line and receiving room enough but you can't pass on a franchise QB.

It's like having the choice between Lattimore and Mahomes. Lattimore is great but Mahomes changes the franchise.

First gotta try to trade down with a team that might possibly have a top 5 pick next year.

If not or if available you got to get the most game changing guy you can and that's Travis Hunter. Possibility of a shutdown corner that tracks and plays the ball like a WR and can also contribute in the redzone as a WR when we really need him. Think he'll be a superstar at the next level and he's one of very few blue chip talents in this draft..

You don’t just get to pick #1 or 2 every year. In the 40 years I’ve been a Saints fan we’ve never picked 1st. We’ve only picked 2nd once..after Katrina. And if it weren’t for Katrina we would’ve been in the middle of that draft. If we have a shot at a franchise QB in 2025 we have to take it.

If Deon wants his shot which I know he said he doesn’t , this would be the best time for him and Shaduer from their perspective.

Personally I think Ward would be the better pro over sanders

I get it. My fandom is just as long and if there was a clear can't miss franchise QB, you take him and run. There isn't in this draft. If you miss at the top on a QB it's worse than not taking one.

The year to tank was last year for Daniels. Of course we forked that up.

I don't want the baggage of Sanders. Last thing this team needs.

Cam Ward - sure, why not. I don't know enough about him to hate him yet.

Trade back. We are planning to run back with Carr so trading back is the only thing that makes sense. Shore up our lines, WR and TE.

Want a QB. Cam Ward is the only legitimate NFL QB. Yes, Sanders may be better but his dad won't let him come to NOLA, and the Sanders circus would be a constant irritant.

I would rather draft a QB and have 2025 be a bridge year for Carr. If we build around him as you suggest you can count on us extending him for another 3-4 years.
