I get it. My fandom is just as long and if there was a clear can't miss franchise QB, you take him and run. There isn't in this draft. If you miss at the top on a QB it's worse than not taking one.

But if you don’t take your shots, you never get him. You may have to give up 3 first round picks another year and end up with Trey Lance or Bryce Young. If there ever is another Peyton Manning whoever has the first pick isn’t trading it. If we’re up there, I think we need to take a shot. If we miss, we’ll be up there again soon enough.

He’s really developed into a special QB. Time to start studying up on the potential future Saint.

This could be good or bad. In NHL Lindros refused to play in Quebec and the draft capital they got in trade won them several Cups. Or if our compensation for Payton was anything to go by, we'd get an extra first and he'd go back in the draft the next year. So it could be really good or bad.

There are somethings I do like about Ward. He has a lot of starts/experience and he remains calm, those are things Daniels had going for him.

I'd be interested to see if we move any players before the deadline to get more draft capital.

The worse our season is and if we can gain more draft capital, the faster we can add more young talent to the team.

You don’t just get to pick #1 or 2 every year. In the 40 years I’ve been a Saints fan we’ve never picked 1st. We’ve only picked 2nd once..after Katrina. And if it weren’t for Katrina we would’ve been in the middle of that draft. If we have a shot at a franchise QB in 2025 we have to take it.

This is a great point…we never seem to be in this potential position come draft day. Something to really consider.

You have to look at Sanders and Ward…. If you think either is a franchise QB. I lean towards yes on both. That’s only if DA is fired though…. Want him nowhere near a young QB.

And for those saying, not a QB…. Get your head out of the fantasy that this team is going to be competitive anytime soon.

This team needs a tear down and rebuild. And that starts by drafting a franchise quarterback whenever you think you can get one, and all else is secondary to that.

This class doesn’t have a Franchise QB. I like Shadeur and Cam the best but not in the top 10. I’d prefer a trade down and then BPA. T Mac looks good but Carr will put him in the hospital. So will Ritter.

I’d take a trade down more than anything.

I’m not impressed overall with this draft. Anytime a wide receiver and corner is considered top 5 and even a RB top 10 then it’s lacking in the premium positions of QB and Edge and OT

Yes, The Rosen, Murray story and Fields, Williams story back this up. You have to give yourself that chance. Keep on drafting qb till you land that franchise one.

Yes, I know Kyler is not that good. AZ should of moved on but didn't. But he is a lot better than Rosen

Cam Ward might be a franchise QB, but he'd have a weak line and no legit #1 WR. We'd be better off going the Houston route to build the lines first m, get the weapons, then get the QB.
