Hey rajin! It is kinda weird. Most men can overpower a woman simply because of genetic size and strength. This has been used to abuse women for millennia. Abuse of any sort is harmful, not only to the victim, but also to others who get exposed.

I just have a hard time seeing a professional athlete being sexually abused by a much less strong and likely smaller woman. It would seem a pro athlete could easily stop the abuse. But then again, I wasn't there, so I have no idea if it really got out of hand. Maybe the player was trying to be respectful. And if the lady was boozed, just like any man, that can make things get out of hand in bad way.

It just hit me as funny and in reality, it may not have been.

I think it's more likely that he was worried that the woman would try to turn it around on him and accuse him of being the perpetrator. I think that, considering the woman's condition as well as other witnesses and him reporting the situation to the stewardess, his fear was a bit unfounded but I get why he might feel that way.
