what if we picked OL with our first pick would you be upset? im expecting our FO to go bpa as usual and im thinking a guy like ryan c. could be there when we pick. he'll have the highest prospect grade regardless of position if hes there and we would have a killer O- line if we could get him to play rt. I know everyone wants defense with the 10th and so do i but im just not sold on the FO letting a player with a higher grade pass them by. thoughts?

ps. i want dorsey/ellis just like everyone else but so does the rest of the leauge. im not a fan of us trading up for either one of them so.....

I want the best defensive player available or to trade down. I'm not willing to risk the season on Vilma's knee at this point.

This team needs help at almost every defensive position. I would be upset if they spent that on an offensive lineman.

we cant just trade down if we have no partners to trade with then would u be upset if they didnt reach and took the bpa? that was the question.

I don't want them to grab an OL because he's the highest rated prospect left on the board when we need defense, so yes I would be upset.

I will not be upset at all, quite content, if we pick Ryan Clady. We are as desperate for RT help as we are at any defensive position now IMO.
Stinch just can't cut it. You could play him there, and he will try hard, but not produce. Just like Bullocks, Shanle, Hollis or David.

What if that O-Lineman gave Brees tons of time in the pocket?
What if he opened leviathan sized holes for Reggie and Thomas?

thats what i was thinking! if this guy could do that then go get em. i still want young players on d but i would hate to pass on this guy and have him be great some where else. meanwhile reach and pick a guy for need that dosent have the same kind of impact.

i feel you but if he turns out to be a probowler you would look back and be glad we got him right? thats how i felt we we drafted jammal brown, will smith, deuce mac, the only times we really wiffed is when we reached for a need ex. trading up for sully, alex molden, and robert meach.

altho i think meach still can turn it around and make an impact on this team. im not sold that he was the bpa. i think they saw his numbers and couldnt resist, plus he was kinda like a need because we didnt and still dont have a bonafie number 2 reciever.

I'd be disappointed -- not upset -- at first. But if Clady really is the best prospect on the board the Saints should take him. I wouldn't be disappointed they took him, I'd be disappointed nobody better on defense was available.

But if all else fails, when you have a chance to get a potential franchise tackle, you take it. No one is sold on Brown's knees or Stinchcomb in general. Clady is primarily a RT but some feel he can move to LT. It would be a good choice. Again, assuming the particular defensive players are off the board.

I know some will say that he can play both, but everything I've read says Clady is a LT in the NFL. So, if we pick him, he may not see action due to Brown being there and all.

Apparently me and NJdevilsaint have been reading different articles. hehe

I wouldn't be happy because we still haven't fixed everything on defense. If a defensive player worth the 10th overall pick were available, I would want him. Offense is clicking; the defense still needs work.

Haha yeah that's odd.

I guess it just goes to show you that none of the draft "experts" out there really know what they're talking about?
