Yes it does. <br><br>I expect 2017 to be the year when we return to the playoffs. Drew will resign on a pay-as-you-go contract till he is healthy. We can win multiple superbowls. We just need decent ST coach, and a decent LB coach. Jim Tomsula for D-Line? Or will Brain Young be promoted there?

Since realignment in 2002, with four divisions in each conference (AFC & NFC), only five franchises have reached the above-mentioned standard of excellence: Broncos, Colts, Eagles, Patriots and Saints. Of the two NFC teams (Eagles, Saints), the Saints were the only one to win a Super Bowl (XLIV, Feb 2010).

The firing of the five coaches yesterday told me two things.

1) Payton is here for the long haul
2) Payton is serious about getting back into the Superbowl

Some of the big number seasons WERE on a winning team. In 2011 he won 13 games and set NFL records for passing yards, passing TDs, AND completion percentage. Probably the best season any QB ever had when you combine winning and breaking stat records. We also made the playoffs in 13 with another 5,000 yard season, so he has combined winning with stats, but it never seems to be good enough. <!-- / message -->

He only won that one because he didn't take a single snap during the preseason because of some injury. Had he posted the exact stats but without that injury I'd hope Brees would have won. He clearly was the better quarterback that year.
