Isn't Meeshegin supposed to be invited to the Rose Bowl also?
Well, this is a first, it looks like.
Rose gets the Pac 10 and Big 10 champs.
Problem is, the Pac 10 and Big 10 champs will be in Glendale playing for the national championship. I am not quite sure how that works. I'm guessing that the Rose gets two at-large bids? I know that usually when a BCS Bowl loses it's tie-in, they get first pick of the at-large.
I don't know if that means that the Rose Bowl gets the first two at-large picks? I'm doubting it. That wouldn't be fair.
Rose - LSU vs. At Large
Fiesta - B12 vs. At large
Orange - ACC vs. At Large
Sugar - SEC vs. At large
Fiesta gets last. That will be Boise State.
You're looking at ND or Michigan, as best as I can guess. ND is more LSU's caliber. Hope for that.
Heard it on the radio show as they confirmed the reports out of Baton Rouge with 28,0000 tickets already sold.
Geaux Tigers
LC, the Rose will get the first 2 picks if they lose both tie-ins.
So, the Rose doesn't have to pick Mich, but I'm sure they will. LSU will be the other pick.
And don't equate LSU with ND or even Tx this year. LSU lost 2 games to the #4 and #11 ranked BCS teams on the road.
ND played the #2 BCS team and got skull drug at home. They played the #3 BCS school and got skull drug again.
Tx lost to a very good OSU team at home. No shame in that. But, losing to KSU and TAM is shameful for a team of TX's status.
As for LSU v. Mich. That will be a good game as both teams are good.
If LSU were to play Tx, I think that would be a very good game as both teams are skilled.
LSU would wax the field with ND.
