Good analysis.

Tiki is trying to mend some fences with that pick (...as if nobody can see through it).

If you listen to his reasoning from start to ...almost the end --he argued the case for the Saints. But in his "final analysis," he decided to give the nod to the Giants (and didn't say WHY).

Here's my INTERPRETATION of Tiki's pick (i.e: what Tiki should have said, if he wanted to be completely honest):

In this game, the Saints have a great offense that no one will be able to completely shut down this year. And I know that they've revamped their defense into one of the NFL's best ...but we won't talk about that right now.

What this wild and unsubstantiated prediction is about is my attempt to get my seat back at the table with the elite broadcasters in the northeast. If I go against conventional wisdom, I'll be in their 'good graces.' If the Saints win, at least I went on record that the Giants are MY favorite. And if the Giants find a way to pull this one out, I'll look like a genius, and I can gloat for the rest of the season. In either case, I'm out of the doghouse, and let me tell you, folks... it's no fun here.

So don't be too hard on me. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.

In all fairness, is Tiki Barber really going to pick against the Giants? Everyone can see this for what it is.

i like when the guy called him a homer after pretty much saying he liked the saints to win without actually saying it.

Tiki did say he thinks the Giants' front 4 are going to have Brees back on his heels more than most people might expect. It sounded to me like both guys expect it to be a tough, close game. Fair analysis, unlike Peter King's one-sided prediction.
