What do y'all think the #1 key is? I think it has to be stopping the run on the early downs and forcing Romo into obvious passing situations. Gibbs will have to blitz some and I hope Will Smith is feeling good.

I don't think we want to get Romo into passing situations, he will tear us up. Hit him hard and often, let him hand off and hope the front 7 stop the run

Play outside contain. Do not let him scramble around because that is when he makes plays. Hit Romo hard and often.

Marques Colston. The pokes will put 8 men in the box. They will not let Reggie run on them; Parcells has an ego. Colston is the key to opening up passing game for Devery and Reggie. Pokes will rely on Brees making int's. High scoring game with Marion Barber running up our gut. Colston has to play even if just as a decoy for us to have a good chance at the overrated pokes.

On defense, we need to get the push up front to help the secondary. Behind every good secondary is a good front seven. A bad push in the trenches will expose any secondary. McKenzie is the key, because he will be on an island while the others help each other out back there. Go McKenzie!

On the offensive side of the ball, we need to get back to our 'bread-and-butter', which is: 'the slice-and-dice'. It is not the 'long ball', it is not 'pounding the rock', although those are important adjuncts. No, our successful MO is 'the slice-and-dice', when Brees is quickly distributing the ball, to any guy, in any fashion, and the other guys not getting the ball, are blocking. __________________

Not to be cute but... keep away/take away. To elaborate a tad: 10 men are the key. It all starts up front. No Really. Simple sounding but not so when it comes to executing. The O-line and, to me more importantly, the D-line. MM put it well when he deflected praise by plugging the front 4. Those guys play lights out and it shows up in take aways and 3 and outs. The other side's 5 guys are the nucleus of our scoring "machine". They do what they've selflessly done all season, with little fanfare and adoration to boot, and we keep that ball out of the 'Boys playmaker’s hands. If you are doing the math that comes up to 9 guys.

This week the 10th man is the “Real” man. Drew Brees is "where it all starts". Those are the words from The Tuna himself.

Recap Front 4 on the D-line; all 5 of the unsung heroes; the QB from Austin.

Simple sounding it may be but complicated when trying to execute against someone that undoubtedly has an exceptional plan to thwart what we want.

Go Saints!!

Our DB play is key. Safeties need to give adequate help and do not let glenn or TO get behind the d....

Contain TO and Glenn. We can't allow them to go deep on us. They have a problem defending the deep ball, but so do we. I think we can control the run game easier than the passing game, even though our pass defense is ranked higher. If we can get a couple of turnovers and not give any up, we got a good shot.

Simple.
1. No turnover and no drive killing mistakes. Don't beat themselves.
2. Contain Romo in the pocket. Can't let him get outside because that opens up the dllas offense too much.
3. Saints DB can't give up the easy long TD. The more Dallas has to work for scores the more opportunities for dallas to make mistakes.
4. On Offense the saints have to move the chains and play possession. Keep the saints defense rested.

If the saints offense cannot set the tone early the dalls offense will run the saints defense into the dirt in the 4th QTR.

I seriously doubt Colston is playing. Duece and Bush will need to come up big for us to have a chance tonight. Getting some big plays on special teams and defense will help too.
