Back in the early 1980s, the Saints team guest starred on an episode of the soap opera (remember those?) All My Children with Susan Lucci.

Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) chats with New Orlean Saints center John Hill in the Louisiana Superdome in October 1981. Lucci was in New Orleans filming scenes for the ABC soap 'All My Children,' which is being canceled by the network along with sister soap 'One Life to Live.'

That's neat.

I always remember in Poltergeist there was the scene where the guys are trying to watch a football game but the satellites are crossed or something and the neighbor keeps switching channels to Mr Rogers.

The game was a Saints Rams game in the Superdome.

Am I the only one that remembers Disney Channel making a movie called A Saintly Switch that featured the team?

I remember that.. i want to say it was on in the early 2000s , with Vivica Fox and that guy.. not Damon Wayans , but the other one.. .. it was a god-awful movie.

I loved those uniforms. Wish we can bring them back as a throwback uniform game.

You are absolutely correct.. the ones pictured in my original post are second only to our road uniforms of the same era, which IMO are the sharpest unis ever worn by any organization in the history of sports... of course, they coincided with maybe the worst teams we’ve ever fielded, but still...

Story is from 2011, when those soaps were actually canceled. And I'll to the chorus that even though those years were known for heartbreaking losses and overall bad football, those uniforms rocked. As you can see, the black pants look much better with a stripe down the side, unlike the leotard pants we seem them in for the "all black uniform" games.
