In the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints added some versatility to their defense by selecting Wisconsin linebacker Zack Baun. From all indications, Baun is already getting in the good graces of the New Orleans coaching staff.
Recently, Saints linebackers coach Michael Hodges spoke to NOLA.com about what he’s seen from the rookie linebacker thus far. Even though Baun hasn’t been able to get on the field and practice yet in New Orleans, Hodges still raves about the way Baun has been attacking his offseason preparation.
"For him to approach what he's been doing the way he has, I mean, I just know we got the right guy and that goes to our scouting department," Hodges said. "... When you talk about makeup, this guy's makeup is outstanding. And then from an intelligence standpoint, man, he approaches it the right way."
