The bathrooms attached to the portables (5th grade) had wooden doors with those heavy springs, more like you'd find on cabins. A few steps and a little covered porch. When somebody turned off the lights - pitch darkness (and squealing!) There must have been teachers on recess duty but I don't remember getting fussed at - outside anyway. Yes, kids walked home for lunch. Moms met some at the back corner of the fence.

Pretty sure the two in the middle row are Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and South Park. Haven't figured out any of the others (except the Simpsons, which you pointed out already), but I haven't been one to watch television series in 20 years or so.

EDIT: I think the bottom left is from the kids' show "Arthur" (if I'm remembering the name of the show correctly, that was the main character's name). My kids used to watch that and it looks like that animation.
